Philodendron verrucosum – Juvenile Form with Early Colouration

The Philodendron verrucosum is a velvet-leaf climbing aroid known for its deep green foliage, burgundy-backed leaves, and fuzzy petioles. While these plants are not yet showing full mature leaf form, they are already displaying early signs of colouration.

Our current batch is grown from stem cuttings (obtained from our non-tissue culture mother plant) and will continue to develop as they climb and settle into your space.

What to Expect

The plant shown in the image is representative of what you will receive. It is still in its juvenile phase but has well-developed roots and established foliage with early variegation and vein contrast.

Care Guidelines

• Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Avoid harsh sun which can damage the delicate foliage.
• Watering: Keep soil evenly moist. Water when the top 2–3 cm feels dry, and ensure the pot drains freely.
• Humidity: Prefers high humidity (60–80%). Supplemental humidity, such as a pebble tray or humidifier, will support healthy growth.

We only ship plants on Mondays. Please order before 2pm on Sunday to ensure your plant will be sent the following Monday. Orders placed after this time MIGHT not be shipped untill the following week.

We only ship plants to non-quarantine states (sorry sorry WA, TAS and NT residents). Shipping of plants is capped at $18.00 per order. This includes the packing materials and labour times. We use recycled packing where possible to reduce our waste and keep cost down, but we ensure that all packing material is sturdy enough to resist damage during transit.

If no one is home to receive your order, the parcel will be left in a safe place. We will not request signature on delivery, as parcels sent back to the post office may not get picked up for days, therefore increasing the amount of stress placed on the plant(s) inside.

This plant can also be picked up from the Northern Wellbeing Centre; 113C miller st, Epping VIC. If you select this option at check-out, we will email you to organise a pick-up time.
