Hoya Linearis – Elegant Trailing Beauty

The Hoya Linearis is a striking, trailing plant perfect for hanging planters, where its long, slender leaves cascade down gracefully, creating a lush display of greenery. Not only does this plant add a touch of elegance to any space, but it will also surprise you with clusters of creamy, sweetly scented flowers when given enough light. Whether you’re an avid Hoya collector or looking to add a unique, easy-care plant to your home, Hoya Linearis is a fantastic choice.

Why Choose Hoya Linearis?

  • Stunning Trailing Foliage: The narrow, elongated leaves of Hoya Linearis are perfect for creating cascading effects in hanging planters or placed on a high shelf, allowing the foliage to spill over gracefully.
  • Fragrant Blooms: When provided with bright, indirect light, Hoya Linearis rewards with clusters of creamy, star-shaped flowers that release a delightful, sweet scent.
  • Ideal for Indoor Spaces: Its elegant growth habit and relatively easy care make it a perfect addition to any indoor plant collection, particularly for those looking for unique hanging plants.

Care Instructions for Hoya Linearis

Though Hoya Linearis follows the general care of Hoyas, it has a few specific needs to ensure healthy growth:

  • Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light. While it can tolerate lower light conditions, you’ll see the best growth and flowering with ample light.
  • Watering: Unlike other Hoyas, Hoya Linearis prefers its soil to remain slightly moist. Water when the top 2 - 3 cm  of soil feel dry, but avoid letting the plant dry out completely.
  • Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity levels, but it can adapt to normal household humidity with proper care.

Shipping

This plant will be sent in its plastic growing pot.

We ship plants every Monday to non-quarantine states. Please place your order before 2 pm on Sunday to ensure your plant is sent the following Monday. Orders placed after this time may not be shipped until the following week.

Orders to WA and TAS are shipped on selected dates only due to quarantine requirements. Orders for WA and TAS must be placed by 12 pm (midday) on the Friday before dispatch. Please see the list of WA and TAS shipping dates at the bottom of this page.

Shipping for plants to non-quarantine states is capped at $18.00 per order. Shipping for plants to WA and TAS is capped at $30.00 per order. We currently do not ship plants to NT.

Shipping costs include packing materials, labour, and certification where required. We use recycled packaging where possible to reduce waste and keep costs down, while ensuring all packing materials are sturdy enough to protect your plants during transit.

If no one is home to receive your order, the parcel will be left in a safe place. We do not request signature on delivery, as parcels returned to the post office may not be collected for several days, which can place additional stress on the plant(s) inside.

This plant can also be picked up from Northern Wellbeing Centre, 113C Miller Street, Epping VIC. If you select this option at checkout, we will email you to arrange a pickup time.
