Philodendron Bipennifolium – The Unique 'Horse Head' Plant

Also known as the Philodendron 'Horse Head', the Bipennifolium is a charming and easy-care climbing philodendron that thrives in bright, indirect light. This plant's distinctive, lobed leaves give it a unique appearance, making it an eye-catching addition to any indoor plant collection. While these plants were propagated from our variegated Bipennifolium mother plant, they have reverted to their classic green form.

Care Instructions

• Light Requirements: Prefers bright, indirect light but can adapt to lower light conditions.
• Watering: Allow the top 2-3 cm of soil to dry out before watering. Overwatering can lead to root rot.
• Soil: Grows best in a well-draining, chunky aroid mix to support root health and growth.
• Humidity: While adaptable to average household humidity, higher humidity levels (above 60%) are ideal for optimal growth.
• Support: As a climbing philodendron, providing a moss pole or similar structure will encourage larger, more robust leaf growth.

We only ship plants on Mondays. Please order before 2pm on Sunday to ensure your plant will be sent the following Monday. Orders placed after this time MIGHT not be shipped untill the following week.

We only ship plants to non-quarantine states (sorry sorry WA, TAS and NT residents). Shipping of plants is capped at $18.00 per order. This includes the packing materials and labour times. We use recycled packing where possible to reduce our waste and keep cost down, but we ensure that all packing material is sturdy enough to resist damage during transit.

If no one is home to receive your order, the parcel will be left in a safe place. We will not request signature on delivery, as parcels sent back to the post office may not get picked up for days, therefore increasing the amount of stress placed on the plant(s) inside.

This plant can also be picked up from the Northern Wellbeing Centre; 113C miller st, Epping VIC. If you select this option at check-out, we will email you to organise a pick-up time.
