Clusia Rosea is a unique and intriguing houseplant from the tropics, now gaining popularity as an indoor plant. It's known for its large, leathery leaves, its often called the Autograph Tree because you can inscribe your name or initials into a leaf, and the writing will remain as the leaf grows. 

This plant is native to southern Florida, the West Indies, Mexico, and Central America, and hence enjoys temperatures between 15° to 29° C and high humidity. It typically grows up to 1-1.2 metres indoors, and much larger in its natural outdoor habitat. It's deep olive green, paddle-shaped leaves, can grow up to 20 cm long. Clusia Rosea grows gorgeous light pink and white flowers, however the plant rarely blooms indoors (very bright light will help to encourage flowers).

As with most indoor plants, bright indirect light is best for this plant, and direct sunlight should be avoided to prevent leaf scorch. Well draining, slightly moist soil that is watered when the top few cm of soil are dry will keep Clusia Rosea happy. You can also prune this fast-growing plant as needed for shape and to encourage fuller growth.The plant is toxic, especially its fruit, so keep it away from pets and children.

We only ship plants on Mondays. Please order before 2pm on Sunday to ensure your plant will be sent the following Monday. Orders placed after this time MIGHT not be shipped untill the following week.

We only ship plants to non-quarantine states (sorry sorry WA, TAS and NT residents). Shipping of plants is capped at $18.00 per order. This includes the packing materials and labour times. We use recycled packing where possible to reduce our waste and keep cost down, but we ensure that all packing material is sturdy enough to resist damage during transit.

If no one is home to receive your order, the parcel will be left in a safe place. We will not request signature on delivery, as parcels sent back to the post office may not get picked up for days, therefore increasing the amount of stress placed on the plant(s) inside.

This plant can also be picked up from the Northern Wellbeing Centre; 113C miller st, Epping VIC. If you select this option at check-out, we will email you to organise a pick-up time.
