Alocasia cuprea 'Red Secret' is one of the most striking Alocasias, prized for its alien-like, metallic foliage. Its leaves emerge in a deep burgundy colour, slowly fading to a rich bronze-green with a glossy, reflective surface that gives this variety its signature metallic look. The undersides of the leaves are a vibrant, deep red.

Care Requirements

• Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
• Watering: Keep the soil lightly moist but never soggy. Allow the top 2–3 cm of soil to dry before watering again.
• Humidity: Prefers high humidity, but can also be grown in regular household humidity.
• Temperature: Does not tolerate cold. Keep above 15°C at all times and protect from drafts. It can go dormant over winter. 
• Soil: Requires a well-draining aroid mix (e.g., potting mix with perlite and orchid bark).

We only ship plants on Mondays. Please order before 2pm on Sunday to ensure your plant will be sent the following Monday. Orders placed after this time MIGHT not be shipped untill the following week.

We only ship plants to non-quarantine states (sorry sorry WA, TAS and NT residents). Shipping of plants is capped at $18.00 per order. This includes the packing materials and labour times. We use recycled packing where possible to reduce our waste and keep cost down, but we ensure that all packing material is sturdy enough to resist damage during transit.

If no one is home to receive your order, the parcel will be left in a safe place. We will not request signature on delivery, as parcels sent back to the post office may not get picked up for days, therefore increasing the amount of stress placed on the plant(s) inside.
