Schefflera arboricola, also known as the dwarf umbrella tree, is a hardy indoor plant with glossy green leaves arranged in an umbrella-like shape. It’s a practical choice for homes and offices, especially in spots that receive lower natural light.

Grows Well in Lower Light Indoor Conditions

Schefflera arboricola is a reliable option for areas that don’t receive strong direct light. While it will grow fastest in bright, indirect light, it can also handle lower light positions better than many indoor plants.

Glossy Umbrella-Shaped Leaves Add Structure

The rounded clusters of green leaflets give this plant its common name, the dwarf umbrella tree. Its neat growth habit makes it easy to place on shelves, desks, benches or plant stands.

A Hardy Choice for Everyday Plant Care

This plant does best in a well-draining potting mix and should be watered when the top layer of soil feels dry. Avoid leaving it sitting in water, especially in cooler weather or lower light conditions.

This plant will be sent in its plastic growing pot.

We ship plants every Monday to non-quarantine states. Please place your order before 2 pm on Sunday to ensure your plant is sent the following Monday. Orders placed after this time may not be shipped until the following week.

Orders to WA and TAS are shipped on selected dates only due to quarantine requirements. Orders for WA and TAS must be placed by 12 pm (midday) on the Friday before dispatch. Please see the list of WA and TAS shipping dates at the bottom of this page.

Shipping for plants to non-quarantine states is capped at $18.00 per order. Shipping for plants to WA and TAS is capped at $30.00 per order. We currently do not ship plants to NT.

Shipping costs include packing materials, labour, and certification where required. We use recycled packaging where possible to reduce waste and keep costs down, while ensuring all packing materials are sturdy enough to protect your plants during transit.

If no one is home to receive your order, the parcel will be left in a safe place. We do not request signature on delivery, as parcels returned to the post office may not be collected for several days, which can place additional stress on the plant(s) inside.

This plant can also be picked up from Northern Wellbeing Centre, 113C Miller Street, Epping VIC. If you select this option at checkout, we will email you to arrange a pickup time.
