Whether you're a seasoned Hoya collector or simply looking for a gorgeous plant to enhance your home decor, the Crimson Princess is a perfect choice.

What to Expect

The plant pictured is a representation of the Hoya Crimson Princess you will receive. Each plant is well-rooted, propagated from our healthy mother plants, and will arrive ready to thrive in your home or collection.

Why Choose Hoya Crimson Princess?

  • Variegated Foliage: The leaves of the Crimson Princess feature a striking mix of green, cream, and yellow variegation. Occasionally, this plant will produce entirely cream or pink leaves, adding an extra element of surprise and beauty.
  • Bright Pink Vines: New growth emerges in bright pink or burgundy vines, creating a stunning contrast with the variegated foliage. These pink vines are one of the highlights of the Crimson Princess, making it stand out in any plant collection or as a decorative piece in your home.
  • Fragrant Blooms: When mature, the Crimson Princess produces clusters of star-shaped, pink to dark pink flowers. These blooms can last up to 7 days, with a fragrance that’s often described as reminiscent of chocolate, making it a delight for your senses.
  • Non-Toxic: The Hoya Crimson Princess is non-toxic to both pets and humans, making it a great choice for households with young children or animals.

Care Instructions for Hoya Crimson Princess

Caring for your Hoya Crimson Princess is simple, making it a versatile option for any home or plant collection:

  • Light Requirements: Thrives in bright, indirect light. For optimal variegation and growth, place it in a well-lit spot, avoiding direct sunlight.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly when the top layer of soil has dried out. Ensure the plant is never left sitting in water, as this can lead to root rot. As an epiphyte, it prefers an airy, well-draining potting mix and dislikes staying wet for extended periods.
  • Humidity and Temperature: Prefers moderate to high humidity and can thrive in average home conditions. The ideal temperature range is between 18°C and 26°C.
  • Soil Type: Use a well-draining soil mix, such as a blend of orchid bark, perlite, and peat, to keep the roots healthy and promote strong growth. The plant's epiphytic nature means it thrives in a free-draining, airy environment.

The Hoya Crimson Princess is a vibrant, eye-catching addition to any plant collection or home decor. With its striking pink vines and variegated leaves, this plant is sure to stand out and add a splash of colour to your space.
