Calathea louisae ‘Thai Beauty’ is a striking foliage plant with patterned green, lime green, and cream variegated leaves, finished with rich purple undersides. Its bold colouring and detailed leaf pattern make it a standout choice for brightening indoor spaces.

This variety is grown for its decorative leaves, which combine multiple shades of green with creamy variegation and deep purple undersides. It adds contrast, colour, and texture to an indoor plant collection without needing direct sun.

Best suited to indirect light and higher humidity

Calathea louisae ‘Thai Beauty’ prefers bright indirect light and higher humidity, though it can also tolerate low to medium light. Avoid direct sun, as this can damage the foliage and reduce the quality of the leaf colour over time.

Leaf colour may deepen greener in lower light

These plants were grown in higher light conditions. When placed in lower light, the foliage may become greener and show less contrast in the variegation. Keeping the plant in bright indirect light will help maintain stronger colouring.

A good choice for warm indoor spaces

Like other Calatheas, this plant prefers stable indoor conditions, warmth, and consistent moisture. It is best suited to growers who can provide a sheltered position away from harsh sun and drying conditions.

This plant will be sent in its plastic growing pot.

We ship plants every Monday to non-quarantine states. Please place your order before 2 pm on Sunday to ensure your plant is sent the following Monday. Orders placed after this time may not be shipped until the following week.

Orders to WA and TAS are shipped on selected dates only due to quarantine requirements. Orders for WA and TAS must be placed by 12 pm (midday) on the Friday before dispatch. Please see the list of WA and TAS shipping dates at the bottom of this page.

Shipping for plants to non-quarantine states is capped at $18.00 per order. Shipping for plants to WA and TAS is capped at $30.00 per order. We currently do not ship plants to NT.

Shipping costs include packing materials, labour, and certification where required. We use recycled packaging where possible to reduce waste and keep costs down, while ensuring all packing materials are sturdy enough to protect your plants during transit.

If no one is home to receive your order, the parcel will be left in a safe place. We do not request signature on delivery, as parcels returned to the post office may not be collected for several days, which can place additional stress on the plant(s) inside.

This plant can also be picked up from Northern Wellbeing Centre, 113C Miller Street, Epping VIC. If you select this option at checkout, we will email you to arrange a pickup time.
