Heavily Textured Leaves with Bold Dark Markings

This variety is grown for its distinctive foliage. Each leaf has a raised, uneven surface with dark markings through the centre and reddish margins that become more noticeable as the plant matures.

Pebbled Foliage Adds Depth and Detail

The textured leaf surface gives the plant a more dimensional appearance than many smoother-leaved Begonias. Its pattern and colouring make it especially interesting when viewed up close.

Best Grown in Bright, Indirect Light

Place this Begonia in a bright position out of direct sun. Too much harsh sunlight can scorch the leaves, while very low light may reduce the strength of its colour and pattern.

Keep Slightly Moist Without Letting It Stay Wet

Begonia masoniana 'Rock' prefers lightly moist potting mix, but it should not sit in wet soil. Allow the top layer to begin drying before watering again, and use a well-draining mix to help protect the roots.

This plant will be sent in its plastic growing pot.

We ship plants every Monday to non-quarantine states. Please place your order before 2 pm on Sunday to ensure your plant is sent the following Monday. Orders placed after this time may not be shipped until the following week.

Orders to WA and TAS are shipped on selected dates only due to quarantine requirements. Orders for WA and TAS must be placed by 12 pm (midday) on the Friday before dispatch. Please see the list of WA and TAS shipping dates at the bottom of this page.

Shipping for plants to non-quarantine states is capped at $18.00 per order. Shipping for plants to WA and TAS is capped at $30.00 per order. We currently do not ship plants to NT.

Shipping costs include packing materials, labour, and certification where required. We use recycled packaging where possible to reduce waste and keep costs down, while ensuring all packing materials are sturdy enough to protect your plants during transit.

If no one is home to receive your order, the parcel will be left in a safe place. We do not request signature on delivery, as parcels returned to the post office may not be collected for several days, which can place additional stress on the plant(s) inside.

This plant can also be picked up from Northern Wellbeing Centre, 113C Miller Street, Epping VIC. If you select this option at checkout, we will email you to arrange a pickup time.
