Alocasia Macrorrhizos 'Plumbea Variegata' Collector Plant

Exact Plant Shown, Including Its Current Variegation

This is a one-of-a-kind listing. The plant pictured is the plant you will receive, including its current size, leaf shape, stem colour and variegation pattern.

Purplish Veins and Soft Pink-Tinged Variegation

This young Alocasia is starting to show the distinctive colouring associated with 'Plumbea', including purplish tones through the veins and stems. The cream variegation also has a subtle blush-pink tinge in places, giving the foliage a softer look than a standard green form.

Each New Leaf Can Develop Differently

As with most variegated Alocasias, each new leaf may show a different balance of green, cream, pink-tinged variegation and darker purplish tones. Colour and variegation can continue to shift as the plant matures.

Best Grown in Bright, Indirect Light

Place this plant in bright, indirect light to support strong growth and help maintain its variegation. Avoid harsh direct sun, which may scorch the lighter sections of the leaves.

Water Carefully and Avoid Soggy Soil

Alocasias prefer a well-draining mix that stays lightly moist without becoming waterlogged. Allow the top layer of the potting mix to begin drying before watering again. These plants can be sensitive to both overwatering and drying out completely.

Older Leaf Loss Can Be Normal

Alocasias may drop older leaves as new growth emerges, especially while adjusting to a new environment. This is common for the genus and is not usually a concern if the plant continues producing healthy new growth.
