Alocasia Cuprea Pink Variegata – Rare and Stunning Variegated Foliage

The Alocasia Cuprea Pink Variegata (also known as Alocasia Cuprea Variegata) is a truly extraordinary plant known for its unique, metallic, alien-like appearance and rare pink variegation. Its leaves have a stunning metallic sheen, emerging in deep burgundy and gradually fading to bronze-green. The striking pink variegation adds an extra layer of visual interest, creating a one-of-a-kind contrast. The vibrant red undersides of the leaves further enhance this plant’s beauty, making it a must-have for serious collectors.

Why Choose Alocasia Cuprea Pink Variegata?

  • Rare Pink Variegation: Unlike the standard Alocasia Cuprea, this variegated version traditionally features bright pink patches across its metallic burgundy-bronze leaves, creating an eye-catching contrast that collectors will appreciate.
  • Collector’s Plant: Grown from corms taken from our mother plant, the Alocasia Cuprea Pink Variegata is rare and highly sought after, making it an exceptional addition to any collection.
  • Stunning Foliage: The metallic sheen of its deep burgundy leaves, highlighted with vibrant pink variegation and rich red undersides, ensures that this plant is a true showstopper in any indoor space.

Care Instructions for Alocasia Cuprea Pink Variegata

Alocasia Cuprea Pink Variegata is relatively easy to care for with the right conditions:

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can damage the delicate variegated sections of the leaves.
  • Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Allow the top layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings to prevent root rot.
  • Humidity: Thrives in high humidity environments, ideally 60% or above, but will grow fine in regular household humidity.

What to Expect

The plant shown in the images are is exact one you will receive.
Plant A - Potted in sphagnum moss with a base of perlite, this plant is showing suburb variegation. The newest leaf that has almost unfurled is still yet to develop its beautiful soft pink colour, but we can see that it will display half-moon style variegation, with a half pink and half green leaf.
Plant B - Potted in soil (aroid mix), this plant is displaying low but consistent levels of variegation. The mottled variegation on the left size of the newest leaf can be hard to see in photos, but it will become more obvious as the leaf hardens.
