Alocasia Cuprea Pink Variegata – Rare and Stunning Variegated Foliage

The Alocasia Cuprea Pink Variegata (also known as Alocasia Cuprea Variegata) is a truly extraordinary plant known for its unique, metallic, alien-like appearance and rare pink variegation. Its leaves have a stunning metallic sheen, emerging in deep burgundy and gradually fading to bronze-green. The striking pink variegation adds an extra layer of visual interest, creating a one-of-a-kind contrast. The vibrant red undersides of the leaves further enhance this plant’s beauty, making it a must-have for serious collectors.

Why Choose Alocasia Cuprea Pink Variegata?

  • Rare Pink Variegation: Unlike the standard Alocasia Cuprea, this variegated version traditionally features bright pink patches across its metallic burgundy-bronze leaves, creating an eye-catching contrast that collectors will appreciate.
  • Collector’s Plant: Grown from corms taken from our mother plant, the Alocasia Cuprea Pink Variegata is rare and highly sought after, making it an exceptional addition to any collection.
  • Stunning Foliage: The metallic sheen of its deep burgundy leaves, highlighted with vibrant pink variegation and rich red undersides, ensures that this plant is a true showstopper in any indoor space.

Plant Options:

  • Plant A: This plant has three leaves, each displaying patches of pink variegation. Its combination of bronze and variegated sections ensures healthy growth.
  • Plant B: A 100% variegated version, displaying entirely pink variegated leaves. We've grown a few 100% variegated Alocasia Cuprea just like this one, and can confirm that they are healthy and fast-growing, making it a rare and exciting find. Some may be concerned because many other 100% variegated plants cannot survive (such as all white Monstera Albo plants), but the 100% variegated Alocasia Cuprea still has colour in its leaves, allowing it to photosynthesise.

Care Instructions for Alocasia Cuprea Pink Variegata

Alocasia Cuprea Pink Variegata is relatively easy to care for with the right conditions:

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can damage the delicate variegated sections of the leaves.
  • Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Allow the top layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings to prevent root rot.
  • Humidity: Thrives in high humidity environments, ideally 60% or above. Use a humidifier or mist the plant regularly to maintain ideal conditions.

What to Expect

The plants shown in the images are the exact ones you will receive. Choose between Plant A with its striking patches of pink variegation or Plant B, which is entirely variegated. Both options are healthy and ready to flourish in your care.
