Anthurium marmoratum

Key Features

Anthurium marmoratum is a true velvet leaf anthurium, known for its deep green, matte-textured foliage and elongated, spear-shaped leaves. This is the pure form, not a hybrid, and is highly sought after by collectors for its striking appearance and mature size.

In ideal conditions, mature leaves can regularly exceed 60 cm in length, with some reaching up to 90 cm. The plant grows upright and benefits from support as it gains height over time.

Native to tropical regions of South America, this species requires stable warmth and humidity to perform well indoors. It is best suited to controlled environments such as grow tents, greenhouses, or homes equipped with humidifiers.

Care Requirements

  • Grow in a well-draining aroid mix with consistent moisture
  • Airflow is important to minimise bacterial and fungal issues

What to Expect

You will receive a young, established indoor plant grown in controlled conditions (approximately 20°C and 60–70% relative humidity). The plant pictured is a representative example of what you will receive. Natural variation in leaf size and shape is expected.

We recommend this plant for experienced growers only. In southern parts of Australia, a grow tent, humidifier, or heated humid space is essential to maintain long-term health.

This plant will be sent in its plastic growing pot.

We ship plants every Monday to non-quarantine states. Please place your order before 2 pm on Sunday to ensure your plant is sent the following Monday. Orders placed after this time may not be shipped until the following week.

Orders to WA and TAS are shipped on selected dates only due to quarantine requirements. Orders for WA and TAS must be placed by 12 pm (midday) on the Friday before dispatch. Please see the list of WA and TAS shipping dates at the bottom of this page.

Shipping for plants to non-quarantine states is capped at $18.00 per order. Shipping for plants to WA and TAS is capped at $30.00 per order. We currently do not ship plants to NT.

Shipping costs include packing materials, labour, and certification where required. We use recycled packaging where possible to reduce waste and keep costs down, while ensuring all packing materials are sturdy enough to protect your plants during transit.

If no one is home to receive your order, the parcel will be left in a safe place. We do not request signature on delivery, as parcels returned to the post office may not be collected for several days, which can place additional stress on the plant(s) inside.

This plant can also be picked up from Northern Wellbeing Centre, 113C Miller Street, Epping VIC. If you select this option at checkout, we will email you to arrange a pickup time.
