Mimosa pudica - sensitive plantGreen My Space
Mimosa pudica is also know as the touch-me-not or the sensitive plant, as it is touch sensitive. Its leaves will fold up as you run your finger along them, or if you give the branches a tap they will collapse. The plant will develop thorns down its stem as it matures, and may eventually provide you with the delight of little pink flowers. They require warmth, bright light, high humidity, and well-draining soil.
The plant you see pictured here is a representation of the plant you will receive. A pen is included in the third photo to give you an indication of scale and plant size.
We don't recommend shipping this plant in winter as it can die if exposed to temperatures below 16 C. We will only ship this plant to VIC, NSW and SA.
This plant can be sent in its pot or bare rooted (please let us know if you have a preference in the 'special instructions' section at check-out). We only ship plants to non-quarantine states (sorry sorry WA, TAS and NT residents). We will not ship mimosa to QLD, where it is an invasive weed.
Shipping is capped at $15.00 per order. This includes the packing materials and labour times. We use recycled packing where possible to reduce our waste and keep cost down, but we ensure that all packing material is sturdy enough to resist damage during transit.
If no one is home to receive your order, the parcel will be left in a safe place. We will not request signature on delivery, as parcels sent back to the post office may not get picked up for days, therefore increasing the amount of stress placed on the plant(s) inside.
This plant can also be picked up from our warehouse at 113C miller st, Epping VIC
